A little fun this weekend! (long)

Well the wife and I were on our way back from Glenwood Springs on Sunday
night at about 10:30. Coming just passed Georgetown on I-70 when this Audi
A4 come flying passed me. I catch up with him because I feel like going a
little faster anyway. Before I know it we are racing down the mountain. He
would take the lead for a while, then we would switch and I would lead. We
probably got up to 120 mph a couple times. We would slow down for traffic
and some of the tighter corners. Once we got onto C-470 it was all straight
so we had some more fun. We would line up and take off, racing each other
down the highway. He was pulling on me in 4th gear, but if I could start in
3rd I would stay with him. I got off at Santa Fe to head home and I flashed
my lights to say thanks. We went our separate ways and that was that.
Last night was a good one too. I had to meet my friend Rali because I left
my wallet in his Rover on Saturday night. So I met him and took off towards
my place. I saw this white new Prelude pass by so I caught up with him. This
Prelude had all of those "go fast" (notice the quotes) parts. Wings West
(looked like) kit, those Altezza lights, big "H" sticker on the side, and
the sticker that all cars should have; Type R. Yes, a Type R Prelude. He had
the sticker on the back, on the side and a windshield banner. Plus he had
the all important big ass exhaust.
Well I pass by him in my Jetta and don't rev or anything, just waiting to
see if he does anything. I was actually afraid to because I thought these
cars were fast. He doesn't so I just keep going. I get to the light at Santa
Fe and Mineral and he's behind me. Light turns green and I take off kind of
hard then slow to the speed limit. He jumps into the left lane because there
are cars up ahead. I slow down to get behind him to pass the cars. He speeds
up and gets back into the right lane after the cars. I speed up, in 2nd
gear, and start to get up to where he is. Then I hear his exhaust tone
change and starts to take off. I'm at the top of 2nd gear so I shift to 3rd
and try to catch him. I start to catch him and slowly walk up to him and
walk away. I look over at him as I pass him and his girlfriend is laughing,
probably because a 4 door grocery getter is beating his precious "Type R"
Prelude. A red light comes up and I stop. Green light I take off and he
doesn't do anything. I think he was embarrassed. I can see why.
Well those are my stories from this passed weekend. Drive safe everyone!
