 From what I heard, the new S6 will be launched in North America in 
January (Detroit Auto Show).

The S6 will probably have a 4.2L V8 as an engine, producing 340hp or more.
(That's what the current European S6 has)

The S8 may come with Tiptronic/Automatic only. At the 2000 New York 
International Auto show, Audi announced that the S8 would come to 
North America within "the next twelve months". 360hp, 4.2L V8.
