I also would be very interested in how you did this including did you dry
the coil pack first, do it on the car or off, drying time before reassembly
and does it change the look, or is it clear?

even better, a coat of high-temp epoxy (3.50 at home depot) seems to fix the
problem permanently. I would actually recommend coating the coil pack with
epoxy before a problem happens. it seems that the plastic is just
molded/formulated poorly.
