Coolant Change

Hi all,

I remember recently someone posted either a step by step procedure on
flushing and changing coolant, or a link to a site that had one. If you're
still out there, could you please send me (off-list is fine) that
procedure? I have to get that done pretty soon, and it would help me out.
It's a '97 GLX that I get around in.

On the same note, in the last week or two, my car has been running a good
deal warmer than usual. In the past, my engine temperature (the analog
dial, not the oil temp on the computer) has always been straight up in the
middle of the dial. Lately it's been over to the right, probably running
around 212 degrees F instead of the normal 195 or so (provided the marks on
the dial are linear. Consequently, a second (I didn't even realize there
was another) fan has kicked on, which makes a surprising amount of noise.
It's not the usual fan, the one that will run after the car is shut off,
but a second one that only runs with the ignition on. It's been suggested
that I could just have a faulty thermostat (the car has about 50k miles on
it). Has anyone had similar problems? Is the fix terribly hard and/or
expensive? I'm planning a car day this weekend, so any suggestions on what
my problem might be would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Cab
