***3rd Annual Superbowl Gathering Info***

Hey all,
The time has come to prepare for another pre-Superbowl event. I am in the
process of getting the permit to hold the event in the same location as last
year.....Jones Beach State Park. (one lot over from where DriversFest was
held) I should have a definite answer within a week or two so please stay
tuned. As many of you know, the first Superbowl event was a cruise that
attracted 64 VW's which was featured in PVW. The second event (last year)
was a little colder with the weather and attracted a total of 55 cars for
the day. Brad from 1552 Design had planned a caravan of an additional 20
cars to come up from VA, but a potential ice storm prevented them from
attending the event. This year the event looks like it will have a
cause.....all attendees will be asked to make a small charity donation that
a fellow club member and I are currently working on. Once again, stay tuned
for further info. Please respond to the list with any interest in attending
this event and any possible friends / VW owners you know that will be
joining us for the gathering. Most likely the event will last from 10am -
3pm. (if the weather allows us)
