RE: rattle under back seat

Steve,

I can almost guarantee (if it isn't the heat shield) that it is one of your
exhaust hangers. Look underneath the rear end and check to see if one of
the exhaust hooks has come off of the rubber hanger. I had this happen to
me, and it produced the exact symptoms you describe below. If it turns out
to be the exhaust hanger, try to place the exhaust hook back into its hanger
to stop the noise. Your exhaust may come back off, and then you have to
take the car to the dealership and have them re-align the exhaust system.
That is what they did for me!

Do you do this from the outside or the inside? Sometimes when I accelerate
hard it will rattle if there are some bumps on the road.

Steve,

It is the rear heat shield...............they have small aluminum washers
that
get "splayed" out and don't hold as well. You can push the small tabs up
with a
small screwdriver and it will hold the heat shield up
