When you switch to synthetic oil there is a period of time where you burn off the petroleum oil that is left behind before your motor is 100% synthetic. The cleansers in the new oil will clean up the inside of the motor by the second oil change at 10,000 and after that, for a V6 or a VR6, I would recommend 15W40 amsoil marine every 10,000 miles.
