You might want to get ahold of Uwe, he sold me my interface adapter to get
my Baum  "VW Tool" diagnostics program working and has been helpful with a
few other "check engine" issues that I've had.  I don't have any emails
saved from him from which to pull his email address and offer it to you, but
I think hes on the VR6 list s more so than this one.  Or check out(if memory
serves)www.ross-tech.com, that ought to put you in touch.  

I should point out that I am in no way volunteering his services to fix your
problem, I'm just a customer of his, but he might be able to plug your car
in "afterhours"(again, I'm speculating, he may have no desire to do so, I
can't really say) or know of someone near you that he's helped to enable
their VW Tool package.

How can I find out what is causing my check engine light to come on?

I was told to get the fault codes....well how do you do this?

Sorry if this seems like basic questions, but I don't know anything about 
this and my dealership is very rude about checking these things and I really

don't want to ever have to go back.  So if there is someone that can help
out 
in the Reading/King of Prussia/ Philly area that can help out, Let me know.

BTW - I Won't be able to make it over to AWE Tuning in time to have him
check 
it due to the hours I work.  Otherwise Todd would be where I would be at.
