This is incorrect.

The Jetta has:

Bumper to Bumper:	24,000 miles/2 years.
Drivetrain:		100,000 miles/10 years
Rust/Corrosion:		12 years/Unlimited miles
Roadside Assistance:	2 Years/Unlimited Miles
Scheduled Maintenance:	24,000 miles/2 years no charge maintenance.
Emmissions Warranty:	(covered under Bumper-Bumper)

Hyundai has the following:

Bumper to Bumper:	60,000 miles/5 years.
Drivetrain:		100,000 miles/10 years
Rust/Corrosion:		5 years/100,000 miles.
Roadside Assistance:	5 Years/Unlimited Miles
Scheduled Maintenance:	Unknown
Emissions Warranty:	80,000 miles/8 years

So Hyundai offers a longer bumper to bumper, longer roadside 
assistance, and longer emissions warranties.

VW offers a longer rust/corrosion warranty, and scheduled maintenance.

They are equal in Drivetrain warranties.


Perhaps you were just joking, but let's be honest, Hyundai offers a 
very reasonable warranty.

On the other hand, I think most things that do go wrong with a car 
typically do so within the first two years, so not a big advantage. 
Also, getting an extended warranty isn't much trouble-- it cost me 
only $800, which could easily be made up in service on your Hyundai 
for the first two years. I figure about $30 for lube oil filter every 
three months = $120 every year, so $240. Also, add to that any 10,000 
or 20,000 maintenance, (who knows, but perhaps $100 per visit, or 
$200?) So, $440 in maintenance for the Hyundai for the first two 
years: $0 for the Jetta.

Plus, who wants to be seen driving a Hyundai? ;)
