The records shouldn't be too tough if it was maintained at VW dealerships. I
believe they maintain a national network of computerized records by VIN
number.

Thanks to all who responded to the my question about
the correct fuel for the car.

I'm going to take Tim up on his advice and push them
to get me an owner's maunal. Those things are usually
the first things to go when getting a used car. This
is an off lease car that they bought at auction up in
PA so getting records are pretty tough. The car did
check out when I had it inspected by a mechanic. Only
problem is a small star on the windshield. It's also
VW certified so I luckily get the rest of the warranty
on it. I hear the VR6 engine is pretty reliable so
hopefully I won't be using that warranty too much.

Can't wait to get this car this evening. It's going to
be tough to restrain my right foot..... Coming from a
Turbo Diesel this is going to be a major change. :)
