Just got done putting Red Line 10w40 (no flames) in the GTI... engine runs way smoother than it did on Mobil 1 20w50. But, for almost twice the loot, it should perform better. Also, put Red Line MTL in the tranny. While not quite the difference I expected, I can still grind on shifts, cause I am so fast;), it still feels better. Billy T. Lubrication by Red Line
