Re:

Hey all,
Perhaps I have much to learn. My '97 GLX head unit is Bose, as is the
Amp and 8 speakers throughout (wish I had 10, but will live without the
2 tweeters on the rear doors).

My Pops drives a '95 Supra (normally aspirated) and he thought HIS
system sounded great. He also has a '97 Grand Cherokee and loved the
sound with that little stick - fader/balance thing. THEN, we played a
Digitally Re-Mastered version of Star Wars in His systems, and then in
mine. Two Words:

NO COMPARISON

Genuinely, I have not heard a better car audio system to date than the
stock in my GLX. Louder, yes. Bigger boom, yes. BUT, not better audio
quality for those that understand. I can hear the highest of high hats,
the deepest of 2001 rumble, and all the middle to boost. Simply
amazing.

Did anyone know the bass of the Bose is tuned to the volume control?
When you turn down the volume, the bass response is amplified as a
function of what the human ear can hear. Cool, hunh? But I doth
digress....

The Compelte Bose system, Stock, is better than anything I've heard
amungst my friends. I can'y imagine how to improve this. Please,
anyone who has made a mod to the same system, pleae advise. I'm "all
ears".
