AC QUESTION PROBLEM.

VEHICLE INFO:
1997 JETTA GLX
41,000 Miles
Pristine Kept, All Services Performed, Many Mods, nothing Internal Engine
wise however.

Background:

Jan 10th 1999: Car in accident. All panels damaged except for Front area. No
Check engine lights, or anything. Able to leave the scene and drive home.

This MOnth:
I just got the car back 4 weeks ago, and first time I used the AC: I was
using the AC during the day. While at a stop light all of a sudden this big
white could of steam or air shoots out from under the car. No engine lights,
all coolant there, and everything seems fine. I shut off the AC and it's
seems to have gone away. This happens again later that day, I determine no
more AC.

Today:
Take car to dealer, after spending $70 for a Diagonostic (Dealer is Hanson's
in Olympia, WA btw) they say I have 300lbs of pressure in the low end, and I
should have 100lbs. They say whoever charged this last fuxored up. I say no
one charged it, the body shop said they didn't even look at the AC system.
So now I have to pay 6 hours of labor to find some kinked hose or whatever
the malfunction is. My insurance will cover it if Volkswagen says it was
cause by the accident. So where should I start looking to help them solve it
quicker than 6 hours?!

Any questions, comments, suggestions, answers, help PLEASE SEND ME..
