1. Seat belt chime turns off, I don't remember what the light does (always
have my seatbelt on, so I don't notice).

2. Battery dying? Otherwise, its just the normal bad range of the stock
system. Its very dependent on where you are approaching the car from, or if
you are in an enclosed area, location of Mars w/ respect to Venus....

I had a couple of questions regarding my 1998 Jetta GLx. 
1. Is the light supposed to stay on and the buzzing supposed to
continue if you do not plug in the seat belt? I swear mine did at the
beginning but it doesn't anymore. 
2. Is there any reason why I have to keep getting closer and closer to
arm and disarm my alarm? If you can call the stock one an alarm.
I had more but that is it for now.
