Wheel/Tire + final drive



I just stated that an increase in rim size that does not change overal
diameter (O.D.) of the wheel/tire combination will numerically lower the
final drive ratio. . .this is incorrect. . .it's the O.D. that is the
determining factor here. . not the rim size. . so if you choose your tire
correctly (which also well lessen the speedo margain of error) to
approximate your previous O.D., you should be fine in terms of no lost
acceleration powers.
