You might find more attachments available for the Thule models (404 and
440?) that are specifically designed for the Jetta. I don't believe that
anything except VW attachments will fit on the Jetta/Trek racks, while
Thule's entire line works with the Thule racks. Also, the Thule racks are
steel, while the Trek ones are aluminum (for what that's worth).

Anyone selling a bike rack that will fit an A3 Jetta?  I'd prefer one of the
bike racks that came on the Jetta Trek, but I'll take what I can get.

I'm going on vacation on Sep. 18th.  I want to take the bikes, but I don't
want to have to drive my truck for 11 hours each way while the Jetta sits at
home (especially since I expect to encounter some nice mountain roads).
