To chip?

Is there anyone who has had a negative experience chipping their car?

As others have said, the G Chip is the chip to use. However, the
G-Chip is not CARB exempt, but the P-Chip is. So here are my questions:

1)	Is the G-Chip legal in CA?
2)	Will I have any trouble smogging my car?
3)	Are there any downsides to chipping your car?
4)	Has any had any warrenty problems due to their chip?

I guess I'm mostly worried about warrenty. I really liked the powertrain
warrenty when I bought the car. I also paid for an extended warrenty,
and I don't I want to throw it out the window.

I may be a bit of a wuss, but I am counting on my extended warrenty...it's
paying for a new ABS pump and new ABS controller ($1600 in parts). So if
anyone wants to warn me against chipping, I'm listening.
