Morning commute

Okay fellow VW owners,

This is my first race story in my 97 GLX that I have owned since new.

It was a normal morning, pulling up to a red light, next to me a girl in a
rice-mobile (not a cute girl) with goofy stickers all over the car, and a
phony R one on the back. It was lowered, exhaust, and probably chipped.
A white Acura Integra (looked like a grain of rice with wheels). As we
speed away from the light I moved ahead a little to go around a slow car
approaching, by no means was I giving any indications that I wanted to
race. She seemed a little miffed becuase I sped up to change lanes and
get back into my original lane. She started to tail me and then when she
had a break she sped around me and weaved thru about six cars and
took off. In my mind I thought she was no-contest, and I had a better car.
Next light we are next to each other, and she had a complex about
something. Light turns green, and she takes off and almost rear-ends
the lady in front of her, weaves around and takes off.....I can't do anything
because I'm trapped with a SUV in front of me, they veer left into a turning
lane and this gives me a break, by now she is 10-13 car lengths ahead,
so I drop it into 2nd redline it, 3rd I'm approaching her, and 4th I pass her
by at 100+ mph (this was on a stretch of road with us two only) I new
there were going to be 2 bends coming up and I would have to slow
for or stop for traffic, I also new that I had to slow down quick because
the suspension on my bone stock GLX would turn to Jello. As I was
appraching the 2nd bend there was a car in the way, a perfect chance to
seal my victory, as I went around the car and moved in front leaving her
no room to catch up because the 2 lanes merge into one at that point.
As I did that I had to come to a stop pressing hard on my brakes and
activating my Anti-Lock's to come to a stop. By now she was one car
behind me and visibly mad. Next red light she is right behind me pouting
and throwing things around in her car and slamming the visor against the
windshield as she was cursing. It almost looked as if she was crying by
the looks of her pouting. While she was cursing I am sure she noticed
my gleefull smile and I hope the words VW GLX VR6 are etched in
her mind....................Sorry about the length, but I wanted to share the
excitement.
