Overfilling

Murray

Re: overfilling your oil, I read somewhere, maybe in the Owner's manual that
the excess oil could work it's way to the catalytic converter and damage
it. To be on the safe side I'd take some of it out or take it back to the
dealer and make 'them' take some oil out. That way it is documented in
case anything were to happen down the line, you're covered. I heard a cc
runs a few hundred . FWIW, I had major warranty transmission work done on my
car @ 9k miles and for a few months especially in the cold weather I
couldn't even shift into second. Cracked synchro's etc...They told me to
give it time but after about 3k miles I had no choice but to take it back
The cause of my problem? according to their diagnosis, they had 'under
filled' the transmission. They corrected the problem and luckily my tranny
has been behaving very well ever since. My point? Well, with 43k miles of
warranty left guess who's going to pay for my next transmission if my
current one ever decides to take a crap? You guessed it, the dealer, no ifs
ands, or buts.
