MFA resetting probs

Greetings. I've been in lurk mode for a few months, but I have a problem 
to ask you folks about. Two, actually.
   Seems as though my MFA resets whenever I start my car. The clock 
resets to 12:00 and all of the trip stuff and total stuff gets reset as 
well. When the car's on, it all works. When the car's off, it all works. 
When I start the car, however, it all gets reset to zero (or noon). Any 
ideas?
   Second problem is very minor, especially since I don't often have 
passengers who ride in the back. But it seems as though my driver's side 
rear window switch no longer works. The passenger's side rear switch 
works fine, however. I can raise and lower the window in question 
(driver's side rear) with the key just fine. I can raise and lower it 
with the controls in the dash console just fine. It's not the lock-out 
button, either, since, as I said, the passenger's side rear window switch 
works fine. Has the switch gone bad? How can a switch go bad? Have any of 
you had this probelm before? Any ideas on how much a fix costs?
