What I've read (from Amsoil's web site) is that they (anybody offering a
warranty, actually) can only refuse to repair/replace something they've
warrantied if they can PROVE that the aftermarket gadget or your maintenance
practices caused the failure. I suspect that often VWoA says 'no' and people
leave it at that. If the above is true, then you have to decide if the
repair is going to be worth your time and frustration butting heads with the
dealer/VWoA. If it's $200, maybe not...if it's a new engine then...

Note that my understanding on this may be total bullshit. I would be very
interested in getting the lowdown from a contract/warranty lawyer...
