You're absolutely right. The GLX simply has the better chassis and
suspension to work with. The GLX has five lugs for a reason- putting the
extra weight and power of a VR6 onto a four lug chassis makes no sense. You
will NOT see VW put a VR6 or any six cylinder engine into a four lug
chassis.
