Exploding batteries
Hey everyone,
About Adam's exploding battery... I have a '94 VR6 and after about a year, I took the car in for service. When I got the car back, I found that it had a new battery in it. Although I inquired into the matter, the dealer never explained why they had replaced the thing. Since the original was as good as new, I suspect that VW knew that there was something wrong with certain batteries... Keep in mind that this was in 1995... I guess they continued to have problems into 1997.
