Mintex Red Box

Last week I installed Mintex Red Box pads in the front and I can't
believe I was living with all that damn brake dust from the stocks.
Silly! Now the dust is the same as the rears. From a performance
standpoint the Red Boxes lost a little of that initial 'bite' of the
stocks but overall fade is noticably reduced - I no longer have to
gradually push harder on the brakes to maintain the same rate of braking.
Installation was very staightforward - that is, after I searched far and
wide for a 7mm hex to remove the calipers! The local hardware store
didn't carry it and they were doubtful that the (apparently rare) 7mm was
the size I actually needed. Interestingly my 96 Bentley depicts the
calipers swinging up while hinged by the upper caliper retaining bolt,
while my 97 clearly required both retaining bolts to be removed for the
calipers to slide out.
I definately recommend this upgrade! $65 from ND - just make sure you
specify 11" rotors (<'96) or 11.3" ('96-'98).
