I have the panel, but haven't put it in yet because of the lack of working
space near the filter housing.  I can't even get my fingers up there, let
alone a 10mm wrench!  The ND gauge panel fits right behind the cupholders.
It gets rid of that little tray behind the cupholders, but I've never
found it to be useful/handy anyway.  You maintain the cupholder option.
BTW- another good cupholder (for 20 oz bottles) is the lever that 
adjusts the passenger seat.  It is utilized daily now that I found it out!
