97 GLX CD Changer options - SOLUTIONS WANTED

Does anyone know if Crutchfield has an adapter plug for the Panasonic CD
Changer? I saw a mention of another company (I can't recall the name) which
makes adapters, but I called them and they said that they didn't have them
and wouldn't have them for several months.
I'm itching to install a CD Changer, but I can't justify the $300 premium
for the dealer changer when the car is pre-wired and I know that a $10
adapter would solve the problem. Tearing apart my beloved GLX and running
a new cable ( Crutchfield solution ) seems like a waste of time & effort
unless there is some overwhelming technical barrier.
Entrepreneurs -- here is a niche and an opportunity!!
Thanks,
Eric Cusack
