Dave,
  When I put my smoked fogs on, I covered them with a clear film from
Griot's Garage.  I think it was 6mm thick.  Just cut it to shape, heat it
and strecth it over the lights.  AFter spending $$ for the lights, and
seeing how many small road chips the stock ones had, I was not going to
take any chances.
