Re: Cleaning the engine compartment



Here's how I do mine (once or twice a year), maybe this will be helpful:

I clean the engine in the morning, when the car is stone cold, using
Armor All Multipurpose Cleaner (works great).  I use one whole bottle
and soak everything of interest, then let sit for a few minutes (don't
let it dry).  I then rinse with a garden hose with no nozzle, just my
thumb.  I don't think high pressure is good idea, because of the
possibility of forcing moisture into electrical connectors, etc.  Drip
dry for five minutes, then go for a nice 20 or 30 mile drive to dry
everything thoroughly.
