Re: SF Bay meeting report (longish)

Kevin's glasses are a bit cloudy or his perceptions were effected by the
adrenaline. By the time we left the Alpine Inn (formerly Risotti's) there
were 4 Jetta's & 5 GTi's. :-) Two of the Jetta's were lost in the town of
Woodside. (It's my fault for missing a turn. Sorry guys!)

A good time was had by all in the seven cars that made the whole loop.
(Although I don't understand how my 4 year-old son managed to fall asleep
during the second half of the run!)

I hope us GLX's didn't slow things down for them GTi's! ;-)

Some technical details (estimates)
Vertical climb: 1800 ft
Distance traveled:	50 miles
Two-lane roads: 70%
One-lane roads: 30% ("Single Lane Ahead" sign at the *end*.)
# of M3's passed:	1
# of Hondas passed:	3

Route:
Alpine Road to Sand Hill to Portal to Canada (oops) back to Woodside Road
to Mountain Home Rd to Skyline. (stop at Four Corners) Skyline to Bear
Creek Rd to Hwy 17.
