I also have a 97 and love it.  Practically everything about it.  I
traded in a 96 Miata for it about 6 weeks ago and never looked back.  I
too do not particularly like the excessive body roll. Additionally, mine
had a problem with the brakes when new.  Other than that, I'm in love!
