Partsbin : Dash Mounted Lock Button

Hi All,
At the recent DC Dyno Day I met a guy named Tony with a '95 GTI and the
dash mounted doorlock button in place but not wired up. We got to talking
very briefly on the install, and he seemed to think it is simply as easy as
putting the button in the circuit of an earlier car.
I am greatly interested in retrofitting the button, first to my '94 Jetta
GLX, and next to my '93 Corrado VR6, both equipped with central locking,
and both have the keyless entry setup.
Has anyone else on the list ('95 GTI or '94-'95 GLX) tried the install?
What did it entail? When the switch first came out I priced it at $80ish
which was too high. Now that VW is buying them in better bulk, Tony told me
that they are down to about $30ish. This is much more reasonable, so I
thought I'd look further into it.
