IMHO extended warranties are a rip-off. VW's hold up over the years very
well. The factory warranty isn't that bad, up to 100k on the engine and
drivetrain, and 2 full yrs on the car. Spend the money on regular
maintenance. Also, there is a huge profit margin in those extended
warranties, if you must have it, offer them $400.
