Question posed to those who are in the know with VW design:

Given that most or all cars are not designed to drive through water at
the depth of the bottom of the Jetta design and...

Given that most people shouldn't attempt to drive through water yet do
for one reason or another

Why did VW design the air intake port at the front lowest corner of the
automobile? This is the most probable place in a flood (it floods a lot
in Houston)for water to splash against or enter.  Therefore sucking
water right up into the engine?


Does anyone out there know?
