It's the P.I.E. Interface. Did you replace the head unit and go with a Inline
Convertor?

Hi FOlks,

I bought a Clarion CD235 6 disk CD changer recently. I also got the adapter
cable from Periferal Electronics which snapped right in. I have noticed,
however, that when I turn the CD PLAYER up a bit loud, the speakers get a
very harsh, low frequency hum/squeal. It sounds like the speakers could be
damaged by this it is so bad!

The radio and cassette work fine. Everything is grounded well... ??!
I'm at a bit of a loss.
