Sport exhaust, shift points with VR6

I have a TT exhaust installed, with an AT chip. My car will pull past 5500
rpm but there isn't much point. The engine needs more cam to make power
past 5500. Past that and you are just spinning higher rpms when instead you
should be shifting up.
