Hi,
I asked a question a few days ago about anyone who had bled their ABS-equipped
cars using the pressure bleeder, as stated in the Bentley's manual. (Got some
good responses - thanks!)
My final question is: Has anyone bled their brakes using the hand-operated
vacuum-pump tools? (Like Mityvac?) According to Bentley's you have to use a
pressure bleeder: "Connect pressure bleeder with regulated compressed air
supply to fluid reservoir according to manufacturer's instructions." It
doesn't mention the vacuum-type brake bleeders, though But, it seems to me
that vacuum applied to the brake bleeder nipple would be equivalent to pressure
applied to the fluid reservoir.
Anybody done this? Any ideas?
Dave
