RE: Hunter: 23 minutes tonight and a whopping 2 rebounds

But what about other aspects of the game, Dan? What about rebounding,
defense, passing, weakside help, setting screens, etc.? That is the
reason, IMHO, that Hunter would have helped the team at least as much as
Walter's scoring.

We have been getting killed on the boards. Even though Hunter only had
a few last night, Mihm and Blount each had 9. There are only so many
rebounds to be had but we are simply a better rebounding team with him
in the rotation. Are you/is anyone disputing that?

I got to see the second half last night and I thought he played very
good defense on Lamar Odom. He moved his feet better than most men his
size. That is something which will improve even more given some time.
He made a great pass to a cutting Ricky after a timeout late in the
game. There are elements of his game that can help this team in the
long run if they take the time to work with him.

I don't pretend what he is. At this point he isn't contributing. My
point always has been he hasn't shown anything except for 4 games. We
needed
(need) points. McCarty for all his problems, can score more than Hunter.
The jury may not be out on Hunter, just out to lunch.
