Re: from the globe



   I was channel surfing last night and stumbled across the Laker-Dallas game.  I only watched about 30 seconds, and the one shot I saw was Antoine launching a three.  He missed. I then went on to some equally useless program.
   Given the injuries, I now call the Lakers the Puddlers - that's how much the lake has shrunk.  And even though I am not a Laker fan, I have to say that they really have been hit harder by injuries than any other team I can think of.  If Fox was to be the starting 3, then 4 of 5 starters are out, and now one or two of the bench guys are hurt.  But they're getting paid, and it's nice to read about their nine-game road losing streak after all the early season gushing.
