Could Ainge Use The "Charlotte Option"?

Ainge may be able to salvage his horrible trade yet by employing
the legendary "Charlotte Option".

By packaging the Celtics lottery pick with the better of the two remaining
picks and a secound rounder or both late first-rounders, Ainge may be
able to move the Celtics up to the 4th pick in the draft and put the club in
position to acquire a franchise player, or at least someone who could have
an impact.

Would the Bobcats partake in this latest bit of Ainge madness?

Perhaps they might, as they're in the affordable talent acquisition business.
While late first-rounders may be a drag on other clubs, Charlotte has
plenty of leeway to take on such guaranteed contracts.

But it all probably depends on where the Celtics would be drafting in the Lottery.

In the six to nine spots, quite possibly, but a later lottery placement,
likely means two low firsts aren't enough to move up.

Perhaps Ainge could substitute a young player in the deal: Ricky Davis?

Whatever the case, one of the many possible moves in an off season,
that should be filled with them.

And whom would Ainge select at four?

Good question! Could be anyone from Ivan Chiraev
to Josh Smith to Luol Deng to Tiago Splitter to Kosta
Perovic to Shaun Livingston to 7-1 Martynas Andriuskevecius,
who's currently playing at Zalgris with Sabonis.
