------------OK, this has gone on for months now, but here's my attempt at a summation.  Since the farewell of The Big Three, and without mentioning the lost years, we have seen the following Celtic teams:

1.  The Pitino years
2.  The Walker-Pierce-Obie years (and yes, the ECF)
3.  The Pierce-EWill-Obie-Ainge year or less
4.  The Pierce-Ainge-+ era

#1 above went nowhere, and no is saying Pitino should have stayed around, right?
#2 went about as far as it could go, didn't it?
The battle comes down to #3 and #4 for the Celtics of the future; neither one guaratees a title, but I'll take my chances with #4 over #3.  Thank you.
