Re: Chad Ford Talks Battie Trade

at least 2 that fit that description.

Who had that proposed trade to Houston? I wanted to see that again.

As for Twoine, I want to go on record. I am 35, so while I did not get to see
Russ/Cousy, etc, I did manage to see almost every (televised) game Larry Bird
played in. I saw how basketball SHOULD be played. Walton, McHale and BIrd fast
breaking without the ball hitting the floor once (well, maybe once).

Twoine needed to go, especially after last week's comments, but he did revive
the franchise in the late 90s and he did love it here. I liked him, though not
his ill advised shots. My only thing is we should have gotten better value and
I think the one who needed to go is OB and let Twoine play a full season in a
more traditional offense (down LOW) and see how he performs. If he doesn't
then trade him and presumably get more for him going into next summer,
entering the final year of his contract. I think something needed to be done,
but the player traded was the second option. I'd love to see Larry Brown,
Carlisle, etc pulling the reigns here.

Thanks,

Steve
