thrilled about the trade

First bit of really good news since the Sox demise. I didn't like what I saw of Toine this preseason - more of the same old driving into traffic, setting the guards out at the 3 pt line to watch him, etc. Plus he was giving off some sour vibes. I just didn't feel good about watching the Cs - it was going to be frustrating trying to see Kedrick & Marcus develop, and have Perkins and Hunter on the pine. I'm with Bob Ryan. Antoine had his good points, but they got in the way of the team. I'm happy for him to be going to a contender, and to play for Don Nelson. Now, I'm really jazzed about watching our team this year. I don't care how far they get in the playoffs. I want to see Brown, Banks, Perkins, and Welsch develop. I want to see Baker toss in solid play for 25 mpg. I think EWill will emerge as a leader. I hope they find a taker for Battie. I'm also glad to see Delk gone. He was too streaky a shooter, and couldn't play point (not fair that we asked him to, either...)

I can't believe all the sportswriters who think we got hosed. Don't they get it that no other teams wanted Antoine? Haven't they watched him play a full game? If Toine can rein in his ego, he could have a really good time with Dallas. They'll be fun to watch, as usual. I'm also glad he went to the western conf. - would have been hard to see him playing against us on a regular basis.

I don't have high expectations of LaFrentz - and agree that ultimately it'd be nice to see him at PF next to Perkins.

Wow! Things are looking up.
