Re: Brown/Lewis

Tough to compare, as they're very different players for the most part IMO despite some superficial similarities in position and athleticism. Reggie was by far the better offensive player. Smarter, smoother, more reliable. Well able to create his own shot and create for others, with that reliable but totally unique kangaroo hop straight up high in the air midrange jumper. Kedrick can take a shot but isn't as good at creating one from nothing or for others, although I suspect he has better court vision than you might think from watching him play, and seems to now have an inside shot or a 3 with not much in between. Reggie was an excellent ball handler, Kedrick actually isn't at all bad. Reggie was an underrated defender -one of the few people I've seen give MJ in his prime real trouble. Kedrick could become as good I think, although I'm not sure because I don't know as he's as smart as Reggie. Reggie like Pierce was also an underrated rebounder, something else that I think Kedrick has the potential to match but doesn't now. Overall, Reggie had about equivalent overall athleticism, if maybe not quite as spectacular a leaper, and I think a lot more smarts and definitely more maturity. You could see him running a team as a leader on and off the floor. Kedrick can certainly mature and continue to learn to harness that athleticism and use it better with very good results, however will probably never become as good offensively, could become as good or better defensively, but is unlikely to have the leadership on or off the floor.

How does Kedrick Brown compare to Reggie Lewis in terms of style of play
and potential? Now to see the Celtics finally win a game!
