Re: it's still early



The Celtics made the trade at a time when they'd gone a decade without a playoff appearance.  They picked up 2 players who were accustomed to winning and rode them to the Eastern Conference finals. That seems loke a fair trade to me. I wish Joe a lot of luck, but I doubt if he'll ever be anything more than a decent role player a la Walt Williams.  

Now that we expect to make the playoffs each year, its hard to recall how difficult it was for us to get there in the first place.
