Well, no, the numbers don't say it all - they actually say very little about
the current situation. Your argument at first (very superficial) glance might
make sense to some, but it's specious. It's true that the Celtics are averaging
fewer points than last season, but it's not 17 ppg fewer, it's 5.7 ppg fewer.
Why would that be, Paul, if - as you say - we'd be getting 17 more points per
game with Toine and Tony here? Furthermore, by your logic, the Mavs should be
averaging 17 more ppg than last year  - actually, slightly more, because Welsch
was but a glint in Don Nelson's eye last season, keeping the bench warm in GS.
Yet, the Mavs are actually averaging 4 FEWER points this season. How can that
be, Paul?
