Obie, take a memo.

Defend Obie all you want. Blame the loss on giving up offensive rebounds.
Blame it on the defense. Tommy is correct about how Harter's defense will give up
offensive rebounds. However, Obie is willing to give that up if the defense
can continue to be effective and hold down the scoring. But again, the root
problem is the offense.

If you tape the games as I do, watch the second half. Obie calls out every
play. Every play is run for Pierce. Baker got the ball one time in the low post
from Banks in the whole second half. EWill also only got one the whole half.
That is it. The rest of your offense is designed for Pierce to get shots or the
isolation, spreadem out three point shooting. Does that sound like a balanced
attack? Do you really think that PP was going to shoot us to the win? Put the
team on your back? Don't the Hornets also know that?

My solution:

1) Design the offense around the low post Baker option and let PP gets his
points on the kickbacks and swing arounds. Inside-out. Make both players weapons
rather regulating Baker to be a picker/rebounder. The offense we ran tonight
was the Tracy McGrady offense. Outside-in. But they don't even have a player
with the skills of Baker.
2)Banks needs more time as he can get the offense started earlier.
3) More time for Welch who can feed the post and create offense.

The focus has to be to get the ball to the wing and feed the post. Obie, take
a memo....
