Based on what? Assuming you've only watched him on
the television, I would have to say you have no basis
for that assertion. Some players don't just arrive on
the scene knowing how to play....they have to learn.
Kedrick is 22. He has hardly played IN HIS LIFE. He
came later than most to the sport. Played one year in
JUCO. Sat the last two in the NBA. Knowledge comes
through experience (despite one's genetic endowments
that make one predisposed to being more or less
intelligent than the average person, intelligence
never manifests itself unless it is accompanied by the
requisite experience). Kedrick hasn't gotten any
experience until this year. Look at another player on
the team, Jiri Welsch. He's played PROFESSIONALLY
since he was 17. You wonder how he can survive with
such a slow and earthbound body. It's because he has
the experience necessary to make up for it. You also
wonder why he's so good with the ball, why he makes
good decisions, etc...it's because of his experience.
It's that simple. You give Kedrick the four or more
years of professional experience that Jiri has and you
have a much much better player. In fact, if you give
Kedrick good minutes for the next 3 years, you are
going to see one hell of a player. Experience is time
based and to write off a 22-year old player is simply
foolish. I would have expected better from you Eggy.
I guess, thru this experience, I know better now.
