I am astounded at the firing of Carlisle.  He has been the best NBA coach for two years running, many would argue, and has been dumped, so it would appear, without any warning.  There are a lot of assumptions in that sentence, but they are widely shared.  All the other coaching moves (with the exception of Silas at N. O.) I can understand; this one makes no sense.  He's one of the few coaches that I would like to have for my team.
 
What was the undercurrent?  This can't be sheer opportunism to hire Larry Brown.  And, was this Dumars' doing?  I can't buy that, either.  It's a boggler.  Cheers, Gene
