Re: ESPN.com - Page2 - Stuck in the swamp

I have two problems with this.

First, along the lines of what Josh said, is the criticism of Pierce. The
problem isn't that Pierce can't do it. The problem is that they ask him to
do too much too often. It really isn't fair to him, but that's the way
they're going to do it.

Secondly, Rosen suggests that the Celts employ their man-to-man offense
against the Nets' matchup zone defense. That's completely wrong. The Celtics
don't run an offense.

And one more thing (so I guess I have three problems with this)... He
suggests that Antoine park outside the 3-point line and simply become a
passer. That might work if the Celtics had any kind of motion in their
offense. Unfortunately, Antoine would just be standing there, staring at
Pierce on the wing, Battie setting a pick on Antoine's man, and two guys
standing at the 3-point line. Besides, Antoine has said it before, he could
miss his next 5,000 shots and he's not going to stop shooting.

P.S. Could someone in the Boston area post details from the press conference
this afternoon? I know it won't reveal much, but I'm still curious. And
excited. Ainge's hands are severely tied by the Baker contract, but at least
he's not Wallace.
