Rating the Sophs

** Only one of the Celtics three picks even made the list, and it wasn't in a
good way.

1: NBA Allstar weekend extravaganza 2: MJ's allstar media hype 3: TNT
slam-dunk competition hype and commentary 4: destructive capacity greatly
exceeding that required for a target

Some of my sophs, like Michael Redd, may not technically be second year
however by my standards they qualify.

Last years top TPR rookies, Andrei Kirilenko and Michael Redd, were no fluke
and continue to astound, Redd with his perimeter scoring and Kirilenko in
every facet of the game you can imagine. Neither receives the attention they
deserve, even by their coaches.

Jason Richardson receives all kinds of attention though, despite being a huge
disappointment. Certainly not deserving of the soph-rookie game -where was
Shane Battier?- his dunking ability will perpetuate the myth that he has
allstar talent with gullible fans likely showering him with votes for next
years allstar game.

TPR scale: 120+ superstar, 100+ allstar, 80+ starter, 65+ bench, 60 = min
wage
